Morristown, NJ, Washington’s Winter Headquarters 1779-1780. Visiting today in beautiful summer weather, hard to realize that Washington had just survived the worst winter of the century, as his army alomost starved to death. The ambassadors from France and Spain visited him in this office. How did they have the faith to support the American cause?
